Panasonic E-waste Recycling Policy
Panasonic will support e-waste legislation in India and where necessary, will participate with regulatory authorities, industry peers, environmental groups and other accredited bodies to help in the evolution of the same. It is Panasonic’s belief that legislation should be practical, economically viable and effective for all stakeholders concerned.
In a pro-active move to address the issues of e-waste in India, Panasonic will initiate and outline a scheme for a voluntary ‘End of life Cycle’ (EOL) product recycling program in a phased manner before March 2010 (Individually or collectively with peers/stakeholders).
Panasonic will further promote factory waste recycling in India as per Panasonic Corporation Policy.
Panasonic will embark on a series of environmental awareness building campaigns in India.
Panasonic launches Voluntary Recycling Program in Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad
Welcome to the Panasonic India Voluntary End of Life (EOL) Product Recycling Campaign and thank you for being a willing participant!Electronic waste (e-waste in India) is estimated to be 380,000 metric tons in India currently and growing rapidly year on year. With the growing use of electronics in our every day life, it becomes more and more imperative, that safe and reliant methods are adopted for the disposal of e-waste in India. In India, recycling today is largely dominated by the unorganized sector. Panasonic India is proud to launch this humble initiative in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad to promote organized recycling through an accredited recycler.
Consistent with Panasonic’s consistent endeavor to safeguard our environment, EOL Product recycling is aimed at safe and reliable management of electronic waste otherwise known as “e-waste”. Panasonic India is pleased to announce the launch of its first voluntary recycling scheme for televisions (Plasma/LCD/CRT) in the city of Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad.
The Service is free of charge and can be facilitated by just calling the Panasonic brandshop! In the months to come, we shall be progressively rolling out the program to other cities in India as well. Kindly stay tuned for further updates through our website.

How to Recycle
1. Please Call Panasonic Brandshop in your Respective Cities2. Inform them of your intent to Recycle your television
3. They will arrange to collect the product from your Location, at no cost to you
4. Kindly fill in the Recycling form given to you at the time of submitting your product.
5. Please tear at the perforated section of the form & retain the coupon enclosed
6. Please bring the coupon at your convenience to the Panasonic brandshop and avail of a Momento & Certificate(Click here for sample certificate)
Conditions
1. Products offered for Recycling are not eligable for Exchange offers2. The free of charge service is available only for Pickup in and around the vicinity of the city of Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad
3. Panasonic India reserves the right to change the terms of the Voluntary recycling program at any time, as it deems appropriate
4. This scheme is applicable only for Panasonic branded Televisions
